Scanning Technology and Instruments

ProSpecTIR group of sensors consists of compact, airborne spectral scanning sensors, which require minimum maintenance, and are easy to install in almost any small aircraft. The sensor assembly will only require a single hole in the aircraft, and fits on a standard stabilized camera platform. The instrument assembly is a result of joint U.S. and Finnish collaboration on sensor design and integration. The sensors are capable of acquiring high-resolution hyperspectral imagery in over 300 spectral bands, simultaneously allowing acquisition of spectral data over almost entire ultraviolet, visible, near infrared and short-wave-reflected infrared spectrum. The ability of instrument to capture both high spectral and spatial data makes it an invaluable tool in detecting even subtle changes in mineralogy, vegetation, hydrology and other targets.
