December 23, 2012 – Photon has successfully completed the assessment report on Mostar Valley Case Study area in the ImpactMin project and presented results at the International Symposium held at Lulea, Sweden.

 

June 1, 2012 – Photon completing final report for Mostar Valley ImpactMin study Site

 

June 1, 2012 Photon is completing in-depth, multidisciplinary remote sensing study of the Mostar Valley study site in Bosnia and Herzegovina under EC Fp7 ImpactMin project. The study has taken advantage of various spaceborne, airborne and in-situ data to look at the environmental effects of mining taking place in Mostar and elsewhere in Europe.

 

April 21, 2012 – Photon successfully completed NATO-sponsored MENNE workshop in Split

 

Photon, in collaboration with ICAST, University of Split and MEDILS has successfully organized and coordinated a NATO-sponsored Advanced Research Workshop: MENNE - Multidisciplinary Endeavour in Nanobiology, Nanoscience and Environment. The workshop saw attendance from over 10 countries and addressed variety of scientific as well as security topics.

 

 

 

May 18, 2011 – Photon organized and carried out the first-ever collection of airborne hyperspectral data over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

Photon has carried out the first hyperspectral survey in Bosnia and Herzegovina over Mostar Valley in conjunction of the work-plan outlined within the EC FP7 ImpactMin project. The survey was accomplished using SpecIM’s Eagle II sensor.

 

 

20 October, 2010 – Photon assisting Hungarian partners in conducting airborne and ground surveys over Red Mud Spill in Kolontar, Hungary

 

Photon has been assisting Hungarian partners in carrying out combined hyperspectral, LIDAR, thermal infrared and in-situ monitoring project as an emergency response in the flood of red mud in Kolontar, Hungary. The results of work can be seen in the published results – paper and presentation.
